Apnon Ki TalashIraqi Biradari Heritage Platform

About the Community

Iraqi Biradari history, memory, and kinship.

This page collects the community introduction and gives it a calmer archival home, separate from the genealogy explorer.

Iraqi Biradari, العراقي برادری, or Iraqi Tamimi is a Sunni Muslim community in India. Community history connects the Biradari with Bani Tamim, migration through Sindh, and later settlement in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

According to community references, Bani Tamim families from Southern Iraq and Syria settled in Sindh after migration. Later, members of the community moved toward Eastern Uttar Pradesh for trade and social reasons.

The Biradari preserves identity through family records, community gatherings, documents, books, oral histories, and the family Shijra.

This platform is designed as a heritage institution: a stable place to preserve archival material and make it easier for families to find, read, and share community memory.
